The Silver Fox Club Pledges to Help Those with Sarcoma Cancer
On August 10, 2007 The Silver Fox Club hosted the Third Annual Day at the Races to OutFox Sarcoma. More than 90 guests spent a spirited afternoon at Monmouth Park Racetrack’s Parterre Lounge. The event was hosted by Paul Corliss, of Manasquan, and his longtime friend and business associate, Karl Gordinier, of Little Silver. The Silver Fox Club raised more than $25,000 to benefit sarcoma cancer research and clinical trials. The hope is that the effort will continue to grow each year.
Additionally, a full 10% of every sale goes to the cause. With every purchase from The Silver Fox Club’s gift collection, you help us to carry out our mission to “pledge time, energy and resources to build sarcoma cancer awareness.” Sarcoma is a cancer of the connective tissue (nerves, muscle, bone, tendons, etc.) that is diagnosed in approximately 11,000 Americans each year. Paul Corliss, the founder of The Silver Fox Club, is personally committed to this cause because his wide, Pat, was diagnosed with sarcoma in 2004. As pat continues to battle this disease The Silver Fox Club hopes that our efforts will help eradicate and OutFox sarcoma.
The monies raised through The Silver Fox Club efforts have gone to 501(c)3 organizations such as The Sarcoma Foundation of America (www.curesarcoma.org) and the Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration.(www.sarctrials.org).
